Dear Lakeside Elementary Families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year!
It is with great excitement that I welcome each of you to another incredible year at Lakeside
Elementary. This school year marks the beginning of a new chapter for our community as we
welcome many scholars and families from Palm Cove Elementary into the Lakeside family.
While schools may change, what matters most never does: every child deserves to feel
welcomed, valued, and supported. From the moment you walk through our doors, we want
every scholar and family to know that you belong here.
Our theme for the year, United in Purpose, reflects the heart of who we are. Together, we are
one school united by a shared commitment to providing every scholar with opportunities to
learn, lead, and succeed. Regardless of where our journey began, we now move forward
together with one purpose: ensuring every scholar reaches their fullest potential.
At Lakeside, we believe in developing not only strong learners but also strong leaders. We
encourage every scholar to demonstrate GRIT each day through Gumption, Resiliency, Integrity,
and Tenacity. These four qualities help our scholars persevere through challenges, make
responsible choices, and continue striving for excellence both inside and outside the
classroom.
To our new Palm Cove families, welcome. We recognize that transitions can bring mixed
emotions, and we are committed to making this one filled with encouragement, connection,
and opportunity. We are excited for your scholars to build new friendships, discover new
experiences, and become an important part of our Lakeside community.
Our success has always been rooted in strong partnerships between our school and our
families. When educators and parents work together with a common purpose, our scholars
thrive. Throughout this year, we invite you to stay engaged, participate in school events, and
join us as partners in your child’s educational journey.
